The 2008 Ira Templeton Chattanooga Open concluded today at Creeks Bend Golf Club in Hixson, TN. After a brief morning weather delay, 77 players teed off in the final round.
Randy Helton of Stone’s River Country Club held the lead in the Overall Senior Division and Senior Professional Division with back to back rounds of 66 for a two day total 132 (-8 under par). In the Senior Amateur Division Gary Pettit of Dade City, FL and Neil Spitalny of Chattanooga tied for the lead with a 36 hole total of 136 (-4 under par).
In the Overall Regular Division and Regular Professional Division Matt Brock Assistant Professional at Chattanooga Country Club shot an impressive second day score of 64 (-6 under par) to capture the lead by 2 strokes over Head Professional Bruce Etter of Chattanooga Country Club and Scott Master Head Professional at The Wee Course at Williams Creek who fired a second day 63 (-7 under par) and tournament low.
In the Regular Amateur Division Todd Burgan of Knoxville, TN and Jeff Golliher of Knoxville, TN tied for the lead with a 36 hole total of 136 (-4 under par).
