Round two of the East Tennessee Nissan Pro-am got underway today at Millstone Golf Club in Morristown, Tennessee. Conditions faired much better today with clear skies and calm winds. Going into the day the team comprised of PGA Professional Chris Dibble and amateurs Tom Squires, Scott Smith, and Wes Payne lead the field by just one stroke. A few teams made a late charge with rounds of 59 (-13 under par) but Dibble’s team was able to hold lead with a final round 59 (-13 under par) to capture the lead by 4 strokes.
In the Professional Division David Reed Assistant Professional at Millstone Golf Club shot an impressive back to back 65’s for a total of 130 (-14 under par). An incredible 17 Tennessee Section PGA Professionals finished at even par or better representing PGA Professionals very well.
In the Amateur Division first round leader PJ Smith of Morristown held his first round lead with a final 65 (-7 under par) to win by 2 over Ryan Hulton of Cleveland, TN. Congratulation to Brad Kuester of Knoxville, TN for making a hole-in-one on hole #14. |
