2008 Taylormade Adidas Assistants Championship
Day 1 at Bear Trace
Twenty-six assistant pros teed off this morning at Bear Trace at Harrison Bay for the 2008 Taylormade Adidas Assistants Championship. Sunny skies and low humidity paired with great course conditions made an excellent playing field for today’s competitors.
Matthew Brock, of Chattanooga, was lead today’s scoreboard with a 69. Brock had four tremendous birdies and played up to par all day long. Taking the second place position on Tuesday was Chase Brannon, of Nashville, who shot a 71. Nathan Blanchard, of Morristown, and Sid Johnson, of Memphis, are close on Brannon’s heels as they both finished today with a 72.
Tomorrow’s competition leaves room for anyone to take top honors and will begin with an 8:00 tee time.
