(Hendersonville, TN) The Bluegrass Invitational wrapped up today at Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club. The field consisted of 75 amateurs and professional from all over the state of Tennessee competing in a 36 hole stroke play format.
In the championship division PGA Professional Glen Hudson from La Follette, TN made a second round charge with a -4 under par 68 for a two day total of -4 under par 140 to defeat first day leader Rob Garland of Nashville by one stroke. Rob’s two day total of 141 -3 under par was good enough to earn him the title of Low Amateur.
In the Senior Division, PGA Professional Mark Houser from Kingsport, TN held on to his slim overnight lead to win the division with a total of 3-under-par 141. Randy Helton, PGA Professional from Murfreesboro, shot an even-par 72 in the final round to finish in second place. Low Senior Amateur honors went to Bluegrass member Brian Schnabel who finished the tournament at 2-over par.
