(Hendersonville, TN) The Bluegrass Invitational teed off today at Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club. The field consists of 75 amateurs and professional from all over the state of Tennessee. The format is a 36 hole stroke play event with a senior division and a championship division.
In the championship division amateur Rob Garland of Nashville earned himself a 4 stroke overnight lead after a stellar 5-under-par 67. Tennessee PGA Professionals Rafe Corder of Legacy of Springfield is in second place overall and the lead in the professional division at 2-under-par after a round of 70.
In the Senior Division, PGA Professional Mark Houser from Kingsport, TN took an early lead shooting a first round score of 68 (- 4 under par). Tom Provow (a) of Murfreesboro is just one stroke back at 3 under par.
